Derek Colt Robinson

Derek began his real estate journey more than 19 years ago, purchasing his first property before he could legally drink and quickly building a six-figure real estate sales career in the middle of the recession of 2007.

His experience ranges from real estate sales, fix and flips, raw land development, property management, vacation rentals, long-term rentals, commercial leasing and mobile home parks to creative financing, raising capital, and private lending.

For Derek, private lending felt like a natural career progression.

After years of building equity buying and selling property, he found he had not only acquired an innate knowledge of investment markets and the costs of buying/rehabbing/selling properties, but he had also built a network of qualified and experienced home flippers.

This experience and knowledge combined with his time spent exploring different investment strategies and partnering with folks from all different walks of life, led Derek to focus on not just making a profit, but specifically supporting the goals of those he met and the betterment of the world around him. He feels passionately about providing education regarding financial independence, works actively to advise and advance women in real estate investing and places extra focus on affordable housing projects.

Though private lending is now his main focus, Derek continues to maintain a portfolio of long-term rentals, vacation rentals and mobile home parks, as well as partnerships where he assists on fix and flip projects and a few other interesting ventures. He currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife and young daughter. As a devoted parent, Derek can often be found doing the things a young child would enjoy, such as swimming, watching My Little Pony, and riding roller coasters at theme parks. He and his family also enjoy making use of their vacation rentals at the beach and visiting new cities.

Shannon Donnelly

The daughter of a successful real estate agent and two very investment savvy parents, Shannon decided to purchase her first official rental property at age 24, immediately adding a tiny home to the land for a little extra income. By age 26, having become quickly addicted to the incredible benefits of passive income, Shannon retired from corporate America forever and embarked on a decade-long trip around the world, freelance-writing and adding more and more properties to her portfolio as years passed. Ten years of random ramblings took her through 37 countries in South and Central America, Europe and Australasia.

Today, Shannon lives back in Asheville, North Carolina, where she grew up. Enjoying the financial freedom real estate investment has afforded her, Shannon happily spends her days studying Appalachian flatfoot dancing, practicing Compassionate Communication and examining all manner of insect with her young niece.
